The Hunt

Most guests choose a 2 to 3-day package. However, we tailor the stay to your needs. So if you have something else in mind, let us know and we’ll find a way!

Arrival:

We suggest guests arrive before 12 noon so we can get you settled into your room and introduce you to your guide and the staff. On the first day there is lunch and a short orientation for your hunt. At this time, we confirm the type of trophy you are after and take care of any special requests. If needed we can visit the shooting range and make sure your equipment is still sighted-in and ready to go from your trip, and if there is daylight still available we can head too the blinds and get a evening hunt in.

The Day of the Hunt:

We head to the woods just before daylight; we provide coffee and something light before we head to the blinds and a main breakfast at 10 A.M. In the afternoon, we like to be back into the woods around 2 P.M. This time can change with the time of the year- When the rut is in full swing we may be hunting and rattling bucks in for you at 12 noon! You never know at Kings Manor!

We have the best hunting blinds available for your enjoyment. If the weather turns bad (we are in Northern Michigan), you will be water tight and warm. If needed, our blinds have heat for your comfort, along with comfortable chairs.

Handicapped hunters are always welcome! It does not matter to what extent of your handicap- if you have a desire to hunt we will make it happen for you!

Weapon Information:

At Kings Manor we allow all types of weapons. Most people bring rifles, but muzzleloaders and handguns are also allowed. If you are a bow or crossbow hunter, we have some great bow blinds available. It is your duty to make sure that you are proficient with your choice of weapon, after sight-in your guide your guide will take you to the best possible blind depending on weather conditions. Safety is very important to us, we will always strive to present you with a clean shot and ensure all equipment is working properly. In the case of an unrecoverable wounded animal due to faulty equipment, a full trophy fee is due and the animal is yours, but we can continue to hunt for another chance on a trophy if you choose. Let’s ensure that this does not happen, we want to be good guys!!!
